It was my photography goal to get a close-up of Taco's eyelashes.  Here they are!  Isn't he sweet?

Eduardo

I have been practicing with my new camera. This is my favorite photo so far. This house belongs in a fairy tale.


Computer, meet Eduardo. We meet once a week and exchange languages. He pretends to understand what I am saying in Spanish and I (sometimes) correct his pronunciation. Mostly, we just talk and laugh a lot.

Taco's House....

Is really just a cardboard box, but he loves going in there. I think it makes him feel safe from the big bad humans who repeat stupid words really loudly over and over close to his face. The only problem with his house is that he has chewed a big hole in the bottom of it.

I love my girlfriends more than anything. I don't think I could get through this thing called life without them. Every single one of them! I am fortunate to have too many photos of friends to post them all. Thank you all for bringing joy, laughter, compassion, inspiration and love into my life.

Super Football

I liked Brandon's Canon G10 so much I bought my own G9 that is one year older. I never took a class or learned about photography, but I think it is really fun. My biggest problem is I have the patience of a four year old, photography is helping me over come that. These are the best of the 20,000 photos I took this weekend in attempts to learn!
Our good friends the Bowes invited us over for the Super Bowl. Thier house is so cozy and warm, I always end up falling asleep and yesterday was not different. The fireplace just puts me in a trance.


This is there lovely daughter Austen. I can't believe how fast kids grow. It blows my mind.

We also visited our friend Chris this weekend. He is building his own plane! Here, he is giving me a demonstration of how a screw works.

Sharpening Markers

The band Brandon plays in, Sharpening Markers has really come far. For the past year these guys have poured their heart and soul into hours of practice and collaboration and it is finally paying off. They have had some great shows on Friday and Saturday nights at the top venues in Portland and they are getting some attention! They were even played on the radio a couple weeks ago. Brandon woke me up screaming and blasting it "We're on the radioooooooooooo!"
Last night they were offered studio time at one of the best studios in Seattle, Jupiter Studios, just so the engineer can put his name on it. That's how much he believes in this band! In addition, on February 18th they are playing the Cyrstal Ballroom/Lola's room depending on how many tickets sell. It is very exciting as some of the best bands have played there. Go to the show! Obama + Rock = Obama Rocks!

Here are some funny shots of the Obama inauguration celebration we went to at the Slammer-a neighborhood bar that eerily reminds me of Cheers. This guy did an impromptu show for us on the bar. He was very entertaining and couldn't keep his paws off Brandon! I just love the celebratory bling in these pictures.
